ACORD released updates to the Reference Architecture today, enhancing its three data-related facets. The changes in Version 2.9 have been synchronized between the three models and will continue to help organizations develop, modify, and maintain various insurance industry applications.
The release expands several subject areas covered in the Reference Architecture, including Activity, Agreement, Event, Product Specification, and Registration. The following facets were updated to reflect the new changes:
- The Information Model, a comprehensive framework of fundamental insurance concepts
- The Data Model, a logical data model of insurance entities and relationships
- The Business Glossary, a dictionary of insurance terms
